DM bans outsiders from staying in hotels, hostel, guest house, motel, inn, PG from June 17 to June 19

Ludhiana, June 16, 2025: Exercising the power conferred upon by Section 163 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS) within the limits of Ludhiana, District Magistrate Himanshu Jain on Monday ordered that no hotel, hostel, guest house, motel, inn, PG or other such places in Ludhiana West assembly constituency will allow the stay of any outsider i.e. a person from other constituency than Ludhiana West assembly constituency and who is not a voter of Ludhiana West assembly constituency, to maintain law and order in the district.
Jain stated that the election campaign will be stopped 48 hours ending with the hour fixed for conclusion of the poll with the exception of the candidate who is contesting from Ludhiana west assembly constituency, no outsider (who is not a voter of Ludhiana West assembly constituency of district Ludhiana) and who is in any manner involved in elections or any leader of political party will be allowed to stay in Ludhiana West assembly constituency.
The Commissioner of Police Ludhiana, Senior superintend of Police Ludhiana (Rural)/Khanna and concerned Returning Officer and Assistant Excise and Tax Commissioner Ludhiana. will be responsible for the implementation of these orders in letter and spirit. They will ensure that no outsider is staying anyhotel, hostel, guest house, motel, inn, PG or other such places without any specific purpose in the said places in 64-Ludhiana West assembly constituency.
These orders will remain in fray from June 17 ( 06:00 PM) till the conclusion of the poll on June 19 (06:00 PM) in the Jurisdiction of Ludhiana West assembly constituency.
