Divisional Commissioner held meeting with officials

Ludhiana: Divisional Commissioner, Chander Gaind held a meeting with officials of different departments to check the arrangements to fight with Corona Virus on Wednesday. Chander Gaind said that by wearing mask only, eighty percent of risk for Corona virus can be covered.

While Chairing the meeting which was attended by Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police J. Elanchezhian and other officials, Divisional Commissioner Chander Gaind said that the people should maintain social distancing and avoid going at crowded people. The people should follow the guidelines issued by government, administration and health department. the guidelines were issued for the benefit of people.

Divisional Commissioner Chander Gaind expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by district administration Ludhiana to fight with Corona Virus. He further said that the people should download COVA mobile application of Punjab government and avoid believing rumors on social media.

He further said that with the help of NGOs, social associations and cooperation of people, the Corona Virus can be contained. Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma informed that the highest number of samples were collected in Ludhiana among all districts. Now, there is no shortage of beds in Government and private hospitals and the administration is fully prepared to fight with Corona Virus.

The meeting was attended by ADC Amarjit Bains, ADC Neeru Katyal Gupta, ADC Sandeep Kumar and SDM Amarinder Singh Malhi.
