District-Level Republic Day Celebration to be Observed with Dignity: DC Sachin Gupta

In connection with the preparations for the district-level Republic Day function to be held at Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day of the country, a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta was held on Thursday at the conference hall of the Mini Secretariat.

Rohtak, January 22, 2026: In connection with the preparations for the district-level Republic Day function to be held at Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day of the country, a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta was held on Thursday at the conference hall of the Mini Secretariat. Officers from various departments participated in the meeting. The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the preparations from the concerned officers and issued necessary directions. Haryana’s Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Kumar Sharma will unfurl the National Flag at the district-level Republic Day function.

Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta directed that all departments assigned responsibilities for the district-level Republic Day celebrations must discharge their duties with full honesty and a strong sense of responsibility. He emphasized ensuring maximum participation of the general public in the celebrations. While allocating departmental responsibilities, he said that, as in previous years, the district-level Republic Day function will be organized at Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex this year as well. The full-dress rehearsal for the ceremony will be held on 24 January. He instructed the District Education Officer to ensure rehearsals of patriotic cultural programmes by school children. He also directed the Secretary, District Soldiers Board, to ensure cleanliness and necessary arrangements at the War Memorial.

The Deputy Commissioner also assigned duties to the concerned department officers for preparations of the Republic Day function and for tableaux based on the government’s developmental activities and public welfare schemes. He said that all departments will present attractive tableaux showcasing the government’s welfare policies and departmental achievements. He directed the police officers to deploy adequate police personnel at the venue to ensure security.

Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that a grand parade will also be organized during the Republic Day function, in which contingents of Haryana Police, NCC, Scouts, Prajatantra Ke Prahari and other units will participate. The ceremony will conclude with the rendition of the National Anthem. As in previous years, officers and employees who have rendered commendable services in various fields in the district will also be honored on this occasion. He said that all departments should clearly understand their responsibilities and resolve any doubts or ambiguities well in time.

Among those present in the meeting were Municipal Commissioner Dr. Anand Kumar Sharma, SDM Rohtak Ashish Kumar, RTA Secretary Virender Singh Dhull, City Magistrate Ankit Kumar, DSP Dalip Kumar, DRO Pramod Chahal, DDPO Rajpal Chahal, DEO Manjit Malik, DEEO Diljit Singh, Soldiers and Para-Military Welfare Officer Wing Commander Gaurika Suhag, and officers from various other departments.
