District-level flood control room set up

Ludhiana: In view of the upcoming Monsoon season, the district administration have set up district-level flood control room, besides, directions have also been issued for setting up of control rooms at Sub Division/Tehsil level.
Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal, in a letter to all SDMs and Executive Engineer Drainage Ludhiana, have informed that the flood control room would become operational 24X7 from June 15, 2020 onwards. He said that even during holidays, this control room would operate as usual and its number is 0161-2433100.
He directed the officials to ensure that daily reports are sent at [email protected] in a performa developed by Union government without fail by 9:30 am every day. He said that the officials deputed for flood control measures, would not leave their station without prior permission.
He has directed all SDMs to set up control rooms in their respective sub divisions and intimate the District Office regarding the phone numbers and fax number so that they can be contacted in case of any emergency.
