Ludhiana, September 8, 2026: The District Administration, Ludhiana, extended its support to a special AI Session for Educators organised at Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan, Ludhiana, on 8th September, as part of an initiative aimed at strengthening AI awareness and digital capacity among educators and students.
The Philanthropy Club, under the leadership of Lakhminder Kaur, supported an AI empowerment initiative envisioned by Komal Chopra Lekhi, CEO & Founder of Aadvi Business Structures, aimed at equipping educators with practical knowledge and tools in Artificial Intelligence.
Recognising the potential of the initiative to create a meaningful community impact, Lakhminder Kaur supported Aadvi's vision and helped take the initiative forward. The initiative subsequently received the support of the District Administration, Ludhiana, providing a larger platform for the programme and its objective of AI empowerment.
The session was inaugurated by Pragati Verma, OSD to Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, in the presence of Dimple Madaan, District Education Officer (DEO).
Speaking at the session, Pragati Verma, OSD Urban Development, Ludhiana, said, "Artificial Intelligence is no longer a distant concept; it is becoming a part of everyday teaching and learning. The District Administration is glad to support initiatives that help our educators build confidence in using such tools meaningfully. Extending this awareness to our schools and students will further strengthen Ludhiana's digital and educational ecosystem."
Dimple Madaan, District Education Officer (DEO), added, "Our teachers play a central role in shaping how students engage with new technology. Sessions like this equip educators with practical AI skills that can be brought directly into the classroom. We welcome this collaboration and look forward to it reaching schools across the district."
The programme focused on practical applications of Artificial Intelligence in teaching, learning, classroom engagement, administration and professional development, with the objective of helping educators understand and confidently adopt emerging AI tools.
A Commitment to Take AI Education to Schools
As part of the initiative, Aadvi Business Structures committed to working with the District Administration to take AI awareness and learning beyond the educator session and into schools across the region.
Aadvi pledged to conduct school-to-school AI awareness and learning sessions for students, introducing young learners to the opportunities, responsible use and practical applications of Artificial Intelligence. The initiative aimed to ensure that students, too, received early exposure to the technology that would increasingly shape their education, careers and future.
Speaking on the initiative, Lakhminder Kaur said, "Philanthropy is about supporting ideas that have the potential to create meaningful and lasting change. When Komal shared her vision of empowering educators with Artificial Intelligence, I felt it was an initiative worth supporting. With the support of the District Administration, this vision could reach a much larger community. The commitment to take AI sessions to schools will further ensure that our students are prepared for the future."
Komal Chopra Lekhi, CEO & Founder of Aadvi Business Structures, said, "Our vision was not limited to conducting one AI session. We wanted to create a movement where educators and students could understand AI, experience its possibilities and learn to use it responsibly. The support of Ms. Lakhminder Kaur and the Philanthropy Club helped us take the first step, and the support of the District Administration has given us the opportunity to take this vision from educators to schools and students."
Aadvi Business Structures had already empowered and trained 18,000+ individuals in AI tools and digital technologies through its various training and capacity-building initiatives.
The District Administration's support reflected its commitment towards digital empowerment, innovation, capacity building and preparing the education community for a technology-driven future.
The collaboration between District Administration Ludhiana, Philanthropy Club and Aadvi Business Structures marked the beginning of a broader effort to make AI education more accessible to teachers and students at the grassroots level.
