Digital media can help students with disabilities achieve career, financial independence: Sunit Mukherjee
Disability need not come in the way of achieving career goals, said Sunit Mukherjee, faculty member in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication and Director, Public Relations, MDU, while interacting with students at the Centre for Disability Studies (CDS), Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), under the ‘Seva Sankalp’ campaign.
Rohtak, October 6, 2026: Disability need not come in the way of achieving career goals, said Sunit Mukherjee, faculty member in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication and Director, Public Relations, MDU, while interacting with students at the Centre for Disability Studies (CDS), Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), under the ‘Seva Sankalp’ campaign.
Speaking on the theme ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’, Mukherjee highlighted the career opportunities offered by digital media, including content creation, content writing, blogging and YouTube. He encouraged students to leverage these platforms to become entrepreneurs and achieve financial independence. He also stressed the importance of cyber safety.
The session also covered nutrition, menstrual health, physical activity and personal hygiene, with students being encouraged to adopt a healthy lifestyle and remain conscious of their health and wellbeing.
Prof Yogender Singh, Additional Director, CDS, and Professor, Department of Law, apprised students of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, legal safeguards and human rights. He emphasised equality, dignity, inclusion and awareness of legal rights.
CDS Director Prof Pratima Devi said the programme was organised under the Seva Sankalp campaign to build capacity in disability support services. ISL interpreter Anurag proposed the vote of thanks.
