Digital Dreams Shine in the Eyes of Khanna Government School Students as Punjab’s First State-of-the-Art AI Lab Inaugurated

Khanna, October 30, 2026: A historic moment was witnessed today at Raghbir Singh Freedom Fighter PM Shri Government High School, located on Amloh Road in Khanna, as Punjab Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond formally inaugurated a state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab, established for the first time in the history of government schools in Punjab. This initiative will enable children from ordinary families studying in government schools to benefit from world-class digital technology and modern educational facilities.
Addressing students, teachers and parents on the occasion, Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond said that Artificial Intelligence is a remarkable achievement of science, offering numerous benefits, but it also has certain serious negative aspects. Therefore, students should always use technology for positive and constructive purposes. The proper use of technology will not only brighten their personal future but also contribute significantly to the progress of the country.
Emphasising the importance of moral values and good values in students' lives, Minister Sond said that no matter how highly educated a person becomes or how advanced a technology they learn, education remains incomplete if they lack good values and do not respect their parents. He appealed to students to touch their parents' feet every morning and always respect their sacrifices and dedication. He also urged teachers to impart lessons in morality and good values alongside academic education.

The state-of-the-art AI Lab has been developed by Deequasa Tech as part of the company's commitment to social responsibility. The company's owner, Bhupinder Singh Sidhu, was specially present at the inauguration ceremony along with his technical team.

Providing details about the facilities available in the lab, it was informed that modern equipment, including a projector, CPU and Virtual Reality (VR) sets, has been installed. In addition, the school has arranged eight high-tech tablets and headphones for the convenience of students.

A specialised software named 'SWIFTY AI' has also been installed in the lab. It will help students obtain instant answers to even the most difficult questions related to various subjects. The software will not only provide answers but will also explain complex topics in a simple and interesting manner through 3D visualisation. With the help of VR technology, students will be able to understand difficult concepts of science and mathematics more easily by experiencing them in a practical and interactive manner.

At the conclusion of the programme, School Headmaster Balwinder Singh expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond and Bhupinder Singh Sidhu for establishing this modern AI Lab, which will provide new opportunities and direction to students' futures. On the occasion, Headmaster Balwinder Singh and the entire school staff honoured Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond and Deequasa Tech owner Bhupinder Singh Sidhu with special mementoes.
