Deputy Commissioner urge residents to remain true to our constitution

Ludhiana, November 26, 2021: Constitution Day was celebrated at the District Administrative Complex (DAC) here today. Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma greeted the residents of the district on the Constitution Day, calling the day a tribute to the great men and women who gave the country its Constitution, and remembering the contribution of Dr BR Ambedkar.
He, along with other senior District Administration officials paid floral tributes at the statue of Dr BR Ambedkar installed in the DAC, here today.
While speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said on this day in 1949, the Constitution was adopted by the constituent assembly. It came into force on January 26, 1950, on the Republic Day. He urged the countrymen to always remain true to the Constitution of the country. He said the Constitution Day has been celebrated to promote constitutional values among citizens of the country.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included ADC (General) Rahul Chaba, besides several others.
