Deputy Commissioner Launches SARTHI Portal; Third Phase of Counsellor Training Begins at GADVASU
The third phase of SARTHI — "Guiding Those Who Guide Others" — a two-day training programme for guidance counsellors of government schools, colleges and ITIs, commenced today at the College of Dairy Science and Technology, GADVASU. The programme is being conducted by the District Administration, Ludhiana in collaboration with Act Humane Society.

Ludhiana, September 1, 2026: The third phase of SARTHI — "Guiding Those Who Guide Others" — a two-day training programme for guidance counsellors of government schools, colleges and ITIs, commenced today at the College of Dairy Science and Technology, GADVASU. The programme is being conducted by the District Administration, Ludhiana in collaboration with Act Humane Society.
Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana, Himanshu Jain, formally launched the SARTHI Portal on the occasion. The portal has been designed to support and streamline the training of guidance counsellors, offering a structured platform for their capacity building and continued mentorship.
The event was attended by Vice-Chancellor, GADVASU, Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, District Education Officer, Dimple Maddan; and Harleen Kaur, Founder, Act Humane Society, among other dignitaries.
SARTHI 3.0 continues the District Administration's ongoing effort to strengthen the guidance and counselling ecosystem in government educational institutions, equipping counsellors with the skills needed to better support students. The two-day programme will conclude tomorrow.
