Department of Music, Panjab University, celebrated Saraswati Pooja 

Chandigarh, January 27, 2023: The Department of Music, Panjab University, Chandigarh Celebrated Saraswati Pooja on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchmi.  On this occasion the Chairperson, Department of Music said that Saraswati Poojan on Basant Panchami is an important worshipping occasion of the department of Music.  The Chairperson worshiped Ma Saraswati, Hindu Goddess of knowledge, music, arts, and wisdom, to seek her blessings for every aspect of lives.  Yellow coloured ladoos were distributed to the students and staff as it is believed that yellow is the favorite colour of Goddess Saraswati.  Yellow also denotes brightness, prosperity, energy and optimism.  The staff, students and research scholars participated in the Pooja very enthusiastically.
Girls Hostel No. 1, 8, 9, 10 and International Hostel also celebrated Basant Panchmi.
