Department of MCVP of HMV organised one day workshop on story telling

Jalandhar, November 18, 2021: The PG Department of Mass Communication and Video Production of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized one day workshop on “Story Telling” on the occasion of the 3rd Anniversary of Radio Awaaz under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Renowned media personality Mr. Gurvinder Singh was the Resource Person of the workshop. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed him and congratulated the department for 3rd Anniversary of Radio Awaaz. During the workshop, Mr. Gurvinder Singh said that Radio has played a large role in the popularizing the art of story telling. He further said that being an intimate medium radio has always been able to connect with the listeners. Good stories have the power to transform our perception of the world. He made this workshop all the more lively by presenting some of the part of stories live. He stressed upon voice modulation and sound effects too. He made students learn the art by giving their opportunity to perform on the spot. This workshop was attended by all the students of department. He encouraged the students to develop their own storytelling talents, apply the techniques of story telling and perform a story for an audience. 
On this occasion, Mrs. Rama Sharma, Head of Department of MCVP motivated the students to come up with the unique stories that could be made available for the listeners of Radio Aaawaz through app. She said that this unique concept of Radio Awaaaz, that is available on playstore, has already given exposure to young minds by giving them hands on training in Broadcasting. She thanked Mr. Gurwinder Singh for all his support and motivation for the students. On this occasion, Mrs. Jyoti Sehgal, Ms. Priyanka Jain from MCVP Department and Mr. Karan, Assistant to the Resource Person were also present.
