The Department of Community Education and Disability Studies, Panjab University today organised special lecture on the topic “Methods and Techniques in Pedagogy of Language”. Dr Gopal Chandra Nayak, Assistant Professor, Regional Institute of English, Chandigarh delivered the lecture.

Chandigarh, September 29, 2025: The Department of Community Education and Disability Studies, Panjab University today organised special lecture on the topic “Methods and Techniques in Pedagogy of Language”. Dr Gopal Chandra Nayak, Assistant Professor, Regional Institute of English, Chandigarh delivered the lecture.
Chairperson of the Department Dr.Md.Saifur Rahman delivered welcome note on the needs and importance of some techniques which is used to teach the child with special needs.
Dr Nayak explained the multi-lingual and trans-languaging strategies which are the part of teaching learning process. He elucidated that the Applied Linguistic approaches that promotes the Integrating Critical Thinking Skills and the artistic skills among students. He further emphasised on multiple approaches of Pedagogy of Language where he shared the practices of teaching with different methods which include fair assessment, honest feedback, and equal opportunities for all students.
The lecture concluded that methods and techniques of teaching is the foundation of a responsible and inclusive educational system. The discussion emphasised that education is not just about knowledge but also about values, morality, and ethical responsibility. At the end, Nitin Raj presented vote of thanks.
