DEO Himanshu Jain inspects polling stations of Ludhiana West By-Poll
In preparation for the Ludhiana West by-poll, District Election Officer (DEO) Himanshu Jain conducted a comprehensive inspection of polling stations across the assembly segment on Friday.

Ludhiana, June 13,2025: In preparation for the Ludhiana West by-poll, District Election Officer (DEO) Himanshu Jain conducted a comprehensive inspection of polling stations across the assembly segment on Friday.
Accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Amarjit Bains and others election officials, DEO Jain reviewed arrangements to ensure a seamless and secure voting process on June 19.
The inspection covered polling stations at Lodhi Club, Government Middle School, and Government High School in the House Board Colony. A model polling station will be set up at Lodhi Club to enhance voter experience.
DEO Jain emphasized strict adherence to Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines, underscoring the deployment of robust security measures, live webcasting, and micro-observers to maintain transparency during the polling process. He personally inspected CCTV installations and issued directives to election officers to ensure operational readiness.
Additionally, Jain assessed voter amenities, including drinking water, shaded areas, ramps, and wheelchairs, to ensure accessibility and comfort, especially amid rising temperatures. He engaged with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to confirm adequate provisions for drinking water and other facilities to accommodate voters.
DEO Jain reaffirmed the district administration’s commitment to conducting a transparent, and inclusive Ludhiana West by-election, assuring voters of a smooth and secure polling experience.
