DC urges college principals and teachers to assist district administration in creating awareness regarding covid

Ludhiana: Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma today interacted with principals and teachers of different colleges of the district as well as the health experts through video conferencing. He said that the information shared with the youth, especially the college going students, proves very beneficial for the society. He urged the principals and teachers to educate the students that if anyone around them has any Covid like symptoms, they should get themselves tested immediately by visiting their nearest testing centre.

Today’s video conferencing was also attended by ADC (D)-cum-Nodal Officer Mr Sandeep Kumar and Dr Bishav Mohan from DMCH.

While addressing the principals and teachers, Mr Sharma said that social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube are the best mediums to disseminate information amongst the students. He said that they should make full use of social media platforms for educating the students so that it helps our society in a bigger way. He said that the college going students should be educated in a way that when the Covid reaches its peak, our youth is fully trained for educating the masses and to make Mission Fateh successful.

He said that the teachers and principals should educate the students that they should must wear masks, maintain physical distancing, maintain hand hygiene and strictly follow all government directions.
