DC Sachin Gupta reviews preparations of Republic Day Celebrations; issues necessary directions
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta directed officers to ensure that all preparations for the 26th January Republic Day celebrations are made strictly in accordance with the dignity and decorum of the national festival. He informed that the final full dress rehearsal for the district-level Republic Day celebration will be held on January 24 as per the scheduled programme.
Rohtak, January 23, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta directed officers to ensure that all preparations for the 26th January Republic Day celebrations are made strictly in accordance with the dignity and decorum of the national festival. He informed that the final full dress rehearsal for the district-level Republic Day celebration will be held on January 24 as per the scheduled programme.
DC Sachin Gupta was reviewing the preparations today after visiting the Republic Day ceremony venues along with officers. He first inspected the ongoing arrangements at the State-level War Memorial located at MDU and issued necessary directions to the concerned officers. Thereafter, accompanied by SDM Ashish Kumar, he inspected the preparations at Rajiv Gandhi Sports Stadium for the district-level celebrations of the 77th Republic Day along with senior officers.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed all arrangements at the ceremony venue and issued necessary instructions. He gave directions regarding the stairs and platforms adjoining the main stage for parade inspection and also discussed matters related to the National Flag. He instructed that all tent-related and other pending works should be completed by January 25. He further directed that all cultural programme participants should perform with enthusiasm and that all events must be conducted strictly as per the approved programme.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed details regarding tableaux to be taken out on the occasion and directed that all tableaux be prepared in a grand and attractive manner. He discussed arrangements for honouring eminent personalities who have excelled in various fields. He instructed that adequate seating arrangements be ensured for VVIPs, officers, war widows, freedom fighters and their families, participating students and the general public.
The final full dress rehearsal for the district-level Republic Day celebrations will be held on January 24 at 10:00 a.m. at the local Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex as per the prescribed programme. Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta will reach the State-level War Memorial at 9:30 a.m. and proceed to the Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex thereafter. During the full dress rehearsal, he will unfurl the National Flag and inspect the parade.
After unfurling the National Flag, the Deputy Commissioner will inspect the parade contingents while riding in an open jeep. Subsequently, under the leadership of Parade Commander Ravindra Kumar, IPS, eight contingents will participate in a ceremonial march past and pass in front of the main stage. The Deputy Commissioner will take the salute during the march past. Thereafter, around 1,700 students from various schools will present a Mass PT show. Students from different schools will also present cultural programmes based on patriotism and the rich cultural heritage of Haryana. The full dress rehearsal will conclude with the National Anthem.
On this occasion, SDM Ashish Kumar, City Magistrate Ankit Kumar, OSD to Divisional Commissioner Shubham, DSP Ravi Khundia, Civil Surgeon Dr. Ramesh Chandra, DRO Pramod Chahal, DDPO Rajpal Chahal, DEO Manjeet Malik, DEEO Diljeet Singh, District Soldier and Paramilitary Welfare Officer Wing Commander Gaurika Suhag, Naib Tehsildar Deepak, District Welfare Officer Renu Sisodia and other concerned officers were present.
