DC Sachin Gupta releases a five-day village-wise schedule for drainage
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has said that as soon as the weather improved, the work of draining water from agricultural land in the district was accelerated. To ensure continuous drainage, he has assigned the responsibility on a daily basis to the SDO of the Irrigation Department, the concerned BDPO, and the Naib Tehsildar. These officers will visit their allotted villages for five consecutive days to ensure water drainage.

Rohtak, September 9, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has said that as soon as the weather improved, the work of draining water from agricultural land in the district was accelerated. To ensure continuous drainage, he has assigned the responsibility on a daily basis to the SDO of the Irrigation Department, the concerned BDPO, and the Naib Tehsildar. These officers will visit their allotted villages for five consecutive days to ensure water drainage.
In a meeting, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta directed all SDOs of the Irrigation Department, concerned BDPOs, and Naib Tehsildars that starting September 10, they must visit the villages allotted to them every day and ensure drainage with a strong strategy. He further said that to expedite drainage, these officers will also include Panchayat officials and public representatives in their strategies. He stressed that the district administration’s full effort is to complete water drainage from agricultural land at the earliest.
For this purpose, DC Sachin Gupta had earlier already constituted a three-member committee at the sub-divisional level under the chairmanship of the SDM. The committee includes the concerned SDO (Irrigation) and BDPO as members. This committee is jointly planning, monitoring, and reviewing drainage works. It is also identifying damages, restoring basic facilities, and ensuring coordination with departments and stakeholders.
The Deputy Commissioner has issued a list of 149 villages and assigned village-wise duties to SDOs, BDPOs, and Naib Tehsildars for drainage.
These include:
• Water Services Sub-Division Bhalauth (64 villages): Basantpur, Brahmanwas, Makdauli Kalan, Makdauli Khurd, Pada, Nasirpur, Rohtak, Sarai Ahmad, Bhaiyapur, Jasia, Dhamad, Ghiloed Kalan, Kahni 7.5/12.5, Rukhi, Maui Hudda, Riwada, Jindran, Sisrauli, Chamaria, Rithal Phogat, Rithal Narwal, Kiloi Khas, Kiloi Dopan, Paolgi, Ladoat, Rudki, Mungaan, Givana, Awanli, Jasarana, Mizampur Majra, Bilbilana, Gaurad, Bakheta, Naunnad, Kheri Saadh, Peharawar, Gizhi, Jasaor Kheri, Kheri Jasaor, Luhar Hedi, Dahkora, Hasangarh, Paksma, Asan, Bhalauth, Kansala, Hamayupur, Sisana, Silana, Garhi Silana, Samchana, Morkheri, Bhaisru Khurd, Bhaisru Kalan, Kheri Sampla, Naya Bans, Baliyana, Bohar, Ismaila-11B, Atayal, Gandhra, Kasraiti, and Dattod.
