DC Sachin Gupta orders to introduce Entertaining Learning Activities at Anganwadi Centres
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has directed officials of the Women and Child Development Department to introduce entertaining toys and innovative learning activities at Anganwadi Centres across the district to encourage greater participation of children and make early learning more engaging.
Rohtak, 16 January 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has directed officials of the Women and Child Development Department to introduce entertaining toys and innovative learning activities at Anganwadi Centres across the district to encourage greater participation of children and make early learning more engaging.
Chairing the monthly review meeting of the Women and Child Development Department at the auditorium of the Mini Secretariat, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that it must be ensured that no pregnant woman in any block of the district remains unregistered. He instructed the officials to achieve 100 percent registration of pregnant women and closely monitor the same.
The Deputy Commissioner further directed that under the nutrition schemes, severely and moderately malnourished (SAM and MAM) children should be rehabilitated at the earliest. He also stressed convergence with the AYUSH Department to organize nutritious food exhibitions for pregnant women and malnourished children to promote healthy dietary practices.
During the meeting, DC Sachin Gupta reviewed issues related to the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) and discussed measures under the Child Marriage Prohibition framework. He noted that a 100-day campaign against child marriage is being implemented in the district and instructed officials to organize extensive awareness programmes to ensure the success of the Child Marriage Free India Campaign.
The meeting was attended by District Programme Officer Kumari Deepika Saini, all WCDPOs, Supervisors, Protection and Child Marriage Prohibition Officer Karminder Kaur, District Child Protection Officer Kuldeep Singh, and Nutrition Coordinator Niharika.
