Rohtak, May 2, 2026: In a significant step towards transforming RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) into a mass movement, the District Administration, Rohtak today launched “ReShare Rohtak” from Lal Nath Hindu College.
The launch event, organized in collaboration with the Youth Red Cross Unit and college administration, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and citizens.
During the drive Usable clothes, School bags, Books and Other household items were voluntarily donated in large numbers. Items were segregated and organized on-site to ensure dignified and need-based distribution.
Interacting with students, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta emphasized, “What we consider waste can be a vital resource for someone else. ReShare Rohtak is about building a culture of responsible consumption and shared responsibility.”
He encouraged youth to adopt RRR as a way of life, not just a campaign. The initiative aims to create a structured and transparent system where usable surplus materials are channelled to those in need, ensuring Resource optimization, Social equity and Environmental sustainability.
The Deputy Commissioner announced, “ReShare Rohtak will be scaled across all schools and colleges in the district, making educational institutions hubs of sustainability and social responsibility.”
To ensure ease of participation, a mobile collection system will be introduced to collect reusable items from households, increase citizen engagement and implement RRR at the grassroots level.
The initiative combines environmental responsibility with social impact, positioning Rohtak as a model district for circular economy practices with community participation.
Citizens are encouraged to donate usable items, avoid wasteful disposal and participate actively in this movement. ReShare Rohtak is not just a cleanliness initiative—it is a people-driven transformation towards sustainability, dignity, and shared responsibility.
