DC Sachin Gupta launches Innovative Education Transformation Programme in Rohtak District

Rohtak, October 15, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has launched an Innovative Education Transformation Programme in the district, giving shape to a new vision for school education. The initiative focuses on moving learning beyond textbooks and aims to empower students to innovate, lead, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Under this initiative, five flagship programmes have been introduced — Margdarshan (Career Guidance), Harit Rohtak Abhiyan (Green Rohtak Campaign), Nanhi Chhatri (Girls’ Leadership Initiative), Prerna Manch (Inspiration Forum), and School Saathi (Community Partnership). These efforts are designed to make schools more vibrant, skill-enriched, and future-ready.
Margdarshan (Career Guidance): A District Career Portal will be launched, and career guidance cells will be set up in all senior secondary schools. Students will be able to connect with mentors from Rohtak currently working in premier institutions such as IITs, Civil Services, Defence and Medical Colleges. This will give them real exposure to career stories, pathways and mentorship.

Harit Rohtak Abhiyan (Green and Clean Campus): Every school will adopt one sustainable project — such as rainwater harvesting, solar panels, herbal gardens, or plastic-free initiatives. Students will lead these as “Green Ambassadors.” An annual Rohtak Green School Award will be instituted to recognize and reward best practices.

Nanhi Chhatri (Girls’ Leadership and Education): Nanhi Chhatri Clubs will be established in all secondary and senior secondary schools to strengthen girls’ education and leadership. The focus will be on leadership development, self-defense, life skills, and financial literacy. The initiative will also collaborate with local women achievers, and will include menstrual hygiene awareness and installation of vending machines in schools.

Prerna Manch (Teachers as Innovators): A digital platform will be launched to promote teacher leadership and innovation, enabling teachers to share their best classroom practices. An annual District Teacher Innovation Award will recognize outstanding contributions, and exposure visits to model schools in other states will be organized.

School Saathi (Community for Learning):  This initiative will build strong parent-school partnerships and community ownership. Parent-teacher meetings will focus on academic and co-curricular engagement, while parent volunteers will actively contribute through storytelling, sharing local history, and supporting school activities.

Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said, “These initiatives reflect our commitment to making Rohtak’s schools more dynamic and preparing students for the future. By combining innovation, leadership and community involvement, we aim to set a model for holistic education.”

The initiatives will be implemented in a phased manner during the current academic year with the joint efforts of FLN coordinators, Education Department officials, BEOs, school heads and community partners.
