Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta today directed all government procurement agencies to ensure that all basic facilities are made available in mandis and procurement centres for the upcoming Rabi procurement season 2026–27, so that farmers do not face any inconvenience during procurement.

Rohtak, March 19, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta today directed all government procurement agencies to ensure that all basic facilities are made available in mandis and procurement centres for the upcoming Rabi procurement season 2026–27, so that farmers do not face any inconvenience during procurement.

Chairing a review meeting at the Mini Secretariat, the Deputy Commissioner instructed all Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) to visit mandis in their respective areas, assess ground-level arrangements and ensure timely completion of all preparations. Wheat procurement in the district will commence from April 1, 2026.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the status of mandi infrastructure and was informed that patchwork of roads in all mandis has been completed; arrangements for tarpaulins by commission agents (arthiyas) are being ensured and adequate availability of gunny bags (bardana) is being arranged.

He directed that only electronic weighing machines be used in mandis and procurement centers as per government instructions.

To ensure transparency and efficiency; farmers arriving at mandis will have their photograph with tractor/trolley uploaded on the portal; Gate pass will be issued after verification and Biometric authentication will also be conducted.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed all officers to ensure that necessary IT infrastructure and systems are fully operational before the start of procurement.

The Deputy Commissioner directed that; Farmer Facilitation Centres be established in all mandis; Adequate staff be deployed for assistance and Proper arrangements for drinking water, food, toilets and rest areas be ensured.

He emphasized that mandis must remain clean, organized and farmer-friendly throughout the procurement season.

All Market Committee Secretaries have been directed to submit a certificate by Monday confirming that all basic facilities are in place.

Further instructions include:

* CCTV cameras at mandi entry gates must be functional

* Availability of computers and printers at entry points for smooth gate pass issuance

* Complete farmer data, including bank details, to be updated on the “Meri Fasal Mera Byora” portal

The Deputy Commissioner directed:

* All procured produce must be properly recorded in H-registers

* Cleaning and maintenance of mandi sheds be ensured

* Proper arrangements for rainwater drainage be made

Farmers are being advised to bring clean and dried wheat and mustard to facilitate smooth procurement.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Narender Kumar directed the mandatory moisture testing of produce, availability of moisture meters with all commission agents and ensuring timely lifting of procured stock.

He also emphasized that adequate arrangements such as wooden platforms and tarpaulins must be ensured, no bogus procurement should take place and procurement records must be maintained accurately and timely.

The government has fixed the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for wheat at ₹2585 per quintal.

Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said, “All arrangements must be completed well in time so that farmers experience a smooth, transparent and hassle-free procurement process in the district.”
