Rohtak, February 6, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the Education Department and Samagra Shiksha at the Mini Secretariat auditorium and issued a series of academic-outcome-driven directions aimed at strengthening foundational learning, board examination preparation, science education and inclusion of out-of-school children.

Reviewing progress under the NIPUN Haryana Mission, the Deputy Commissioner instructed officers to ensure that all targeted students achieve proficiency in every prescribed competency. Resource persons are to be allotted school-wise, while subject experts from DIET will regularly visit identified institutions to intensify academic support. Special emphasis was laid on daily Zero-Period classes in all 211 government primary schools so that every targeted child is brought to grade-appropriate learning levels. The district administration will issue commendation certificates to teachers demonstrating outstanding academic impact.

To improve board examination performance, the Deputy Commissioner directed that science crash courses be started from February 11 in all ten Government Model Sanskriti Schools of the district. Subject specialists in science and mathematics will conduct structured sessions aligned with board patterns, train students in effective answer-writing techniques and complete syllabi strictly as per date-sheet-based schedules.

He further ordered that after the conclusion of board examinations, special JEE (Main) crash courses for non-medical stream students be launched so that more district students secure admission in IITs and NITs. “Our objective is to expand opportunities for talented students and enable them to compete nationally,” he said.

Teacher capacity building was also reviewed in detail. The Deputy Commissioner directed that DIET Madina faculty conduct training as per calendar and intensify mentoring in classrooms. Under the NEEV programme for Classes IX and X, officials were asked to ensure complete registration of eligible students and maximise the use of video-based instruction, the Abhyas portal and digital practice sheets.

Initiatives such as SPARK, which promotes science learning through activity-based modules, and STEAM programmes for Classes VI to VIII integrating science, mathematics and arts, were also discussed, with instructions to further expand experiential learning.

Reviewing inclusion efforts, the Deputy Commissioner directed officers to accelerate mainstreaming of out-of-school children. During the current academic session, 287 children have already been prepared for admission, while 367 children in the 7–14 age group identified through surveys are being covered through focused enrollment drives.

Concluding the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner emphasised strict monitoring and outcome-based governance, stating that regular inspections, follow-up reviews and school-wise accountability will be enforced so that all academic initiatives translate into measurable classroom improvement.

Senior officers of the Education Department were present during the meeting.
