DC Ludhiana Chairs Meeting to Launch District Project Management Unit (DPMU)

The DC emphasized that the DPMU will serve as a central mechanism for data-driven planning, monitoring, and execution of educational reforms, with a strong focus on accountability and measurable outcomes. He stressed prioritizing foundational literacy and numeracy, ensuring that classroom interventions translate into tangible academic improvement.
The meeting was attended by DEO (SE) Dimple Madan, Dy. DEO (SE) Amandeep Singh, CGO Ambar Bandopadhyay, DDF Joseph Jais, DRC (SE) Jasvir Singh, DRC (EE) Manmeet Singh, Education Coordinator Mahabub, along with all BRCs.
Key discussions focused on tracking academic proficiency and scaling initiatives such as Bal Sansad, vocational internships, and learning outcome–based interventions.
It was also decided that Block Project Management Units (BPMUs) will be set up at the block level to monitor student learning outcomes and implement all academic interventions, working in close coordination with the DPMU.
This initiative marks a shift towards quality-centric governance in Ludhiana’s education sector.
