Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain today informed that the district administration, in coordination with SSP Ludhiana Rural Police and with the support of Shahi Imam Maulana Mohammad Usman Rahmani Ludhianvi and other community leaders, has amicably resolved the student protest at a private University.

Ludhiana, February 24, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain today informed that the district administration, in coordination with SSP Ludhiana Rural Police and with the support of Shahi Imam Maulana Mohammad Usman Rahmani Ludhianvi and other community leaders, has amicably resolved the student protest at a private University.
Jain added that the students have called off their agitation after the district administration ordered a thorough inquiry into the matter and the Vice Chancellor of the university has also resigned.
The Deputy Commissioner also thanked the higher management of university, authorities and students for maintaining peace and resolving the issue amicably through dialogue.
