Ludhiana, August 27, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain on Wednesday conducted an in-depth review of the local Civil Hospital, evaluating the operations and infrastructure of every wing to ensure top-quality healthcare services for the community.
Presiding over a meeting with health officials, the Deputy Commissioner focused on assessing the functions and duties of the officials/departments, and manpower, with detailed scrutiny of daily Outpatient Department (OPD) services, Inpatient Department (IPD) operations, diagnostic tests, wards, the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) building, and other facilities.
During the review, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the district administration’s commitment to delivering accessible, high-quality health services and state-of-the-art infrastructure. He directed hospital officials to ensure that patients face no obstacles in accessing medical care and stressed the importance of maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sewerage management, and safe drinking water supply.
To further enhance the hospital’s efficiency, the Deputy Commissioner instructed officials to conduct a gap analysis of each wing to identify areas for improvement. This analysis will guide strategic planning and implementation to better serve patients and elevate the hospital’s standards. He assured that there would be no shortage of funds to support these initiatives, stating that discussions with senior authorities would be held to secure necessary resources.
“The district administration is fully committed to transforming the Civil Hospital into one of the good healthcare facilities,” the Deputy Commissioner stated. He mentioned that our goal is to provide quality medical care and modern infrastructure to ensure the well-being of every patient. He also urged the hospital staff to work collaboratively to address identified gaps and implement improvements promptly.
