Day 2 of NSS Camp at Ramgarhia Girls College Highlights Values, Discipline, and Safety Awareness

Ludhiana, January 4., 2026: The second day of the 7 Day & Night NSS Camp at Ramgarhia Girls College was marked by meaningful and youth-centric activities promoting moral strength, self-discipline, and social awareness.
The day began with Shabad Gayan, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. This was followed by a lecture on moral values by Dimple Madan, who emphasized ethics, integrity, and responsible conduct among students. A lively debate competition was conducted under the leadership of Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council, who actively encouraged the students to develop critical thinking, rational expression, and informed perspectives on contemporary social issues. The participating students confidently expressed their views, reflecting strong analytical abilities, clarity of thought, and effective communication skills.
Renowned social thinker, eminent speaker, and youth motivator Janmeja Singh Johal delivered a highly inspiring and thought-provoking address on self-discipline among youth. Motivating the students, he remarked, “Self-discipline is the foundation of character; when young minds learn to control their thoughts and actions, they gain the power to shape their own future and the future of the nation.” He encouraged students to lead focused, value-based, and purposeful lives.
The session was further enriched by Dr. Inderjit Kamal and Dr. Kapil Sharma, who highlighted the importance of logical reasoning and critical thinking in informed decision-making. In alignment with the Punjab Government’s observance of Road Safety and Cyber Security Awareness Month, the NSS unit also followed the awareness mandate by organizing dedicated sessions on safety issues.
Constable Jasbir Singh sensitized students about cyber security, while Pankaj Kumar delivered an informative lecture on road safety, stressing strict adherence to traffic rules and the adoption of safe practices. Inspector Onkar Singh was also present on the occasion.
Later in the evening, NSS volunteers organized a cleanliness drive in the college campus, promoting the values of cleanliness, teamwork, and social responsibility. The successful organization of the day’s activities was carried out under the able guidance and supervision of the NSS Program Officers Prof. Alka Chauhan, Prof. Ramandeep Kaur, and Dr. Harpreet Kaur, whose dedicated efforts ensured active student participation and smooth conduct of the program.
Principal Dr. Ajit Kaur appreciated the efforts of the NSS unit and stated that such activities play a vital role in shaping disciplined, aware, and responsible citizens.
The day’s activities truly reflected the spirit of the NSS motto, “Not Me, But You.”
