DAVIET organized E-Fest 2021 


Jalandhar: DAVIET organized E-Fest 2021 from 1st -11th April 2021 and result is declared on 15th April 2021 at college official Facebook page. The main motive behind organizing this festival was to provide a platform to the students to express their views  through various performances. The main items of this festival were Elocution, Essay writing, Indoor Photography, Dance, Sketching, Digital poster making, Music Competition, Turban tying, Gidda and Bhangra, beat busters, and Short video, etc. With more than 20 events ranging from photography, singing, western dance, theatres, Punjabi folk dance, literary, performing arts, and many more over 700+ participants registered across the nation and showed their talent by enthusiastically participating in various events. The E-fest is a national-level platform and anyone from the age of 5 to 25 could participate.

Principal Dr. Manoj Kumar congratulated the students for giving marvellous performances and appreciated them for participating in the events with this much zeal. He expressed the idea that though this situation has stopped classroom teaching still DAVIET is making the best possible efforts to remain connected with its students and keep them up-to-date through online teaching and providing platforms to demonstrate their skills by organizing events like E-FEST. He wished and encouraged the students to perform in such events in the future also and asked them to protect themselves from coronavirus by following the instructions given by Government of INDIA. Dr. Sudhir Sharma (dean academics), Ms. Jasdeep Kaur (Cultural Officer), and the Event Coordinator thank all the Student Coordinators for making E-FEST a successful event. Ms. Jasdeep Kaur also congratulated all the students and wished them best of luck in the future endeavors.

Following are the list of winners in various events:-
In Beat Busters, Girish from RC College Bangalore got 1st position under age category 19-25 years.
 In Elocution, Sumeira Bhatti from St. Joseph's High School, Pune and Ruchika Dhuria from DAVIET banged 1st position under age categories 5-12 years and 13-18 years respectively.
In Essay Writing, Deepti Ahuja from DAV Public School Ludhiana got 1st position under age category 13-18 years.
In Bhangra, Yudhveer Singh from Chandigarh banged 1st position under age category 13-18 years.
Genus Preet in Poem Recitation and Divyan Joshi in Rapping from DAVIET got 1st positions under age category 13-18 years.
In Short video, Pearl Kakaria from Apeejay School and Diljit Kaur from Khalsa College, Amritsar banged positions under age category 19-25 years.
