Dharamsala, June 3, 2026: The 14th Dalai Lama was formally presented with his Grammy Award at his residence in Dharamsala on Tuesday. The award was handed over by Amjad Ali Khan, who was accompanied by Amaan Ali Bangash, Ayaan Ali Bangash, and Kabir Gill Sehgal.
Earlier this year, the 90-year-old Tibetan spiritual leader achieved a historic milestone by winning the Grammy Award in the Best Audio Book, Narration & Storytelling Recording category. The award recognized his spoken-word album, Meditations: The Reflections of the Dalai Lama, which combines his teachings on peace, compassion, and mindfulness with music by renowned artists.
The project was created with the aim of sharing the Dalai Lama’s message of peace, kindness, and universal responsibility with audiences around the world.
