Media professionals joined the Fit India Movement’s ‘Sunday on Cycle’ initiative at the National Centre of Excellence of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) here on Sunday, promoting fitness and a pollution-free environment.

Rohtak, September 20, 2026: Media professionals joined the Fit India Movement’s ‘Sunday on Cycle’ initiative at the National Centre of Excellence of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) here on Sunday, promoting fitness and a pollution-free environment.

The special cycling event was organised in collaboration with the Haryana Union of Working Journalists (HUWJ). SAI Centre Deputy Director Gaurav Rawat flagged off the rally in the presence of District Information and Public Relations Officer Sanjeev Saini and HUWJ state president Manmohan Kathuria.

Participants cycled alongside athletes, coaches and SAI staff, spreading the message, “30 minutes of fitness every day.” Speakers highlighted the importance of regular physical activity in preventing obesity and lifestyle-related health problems and encouraged people to make exercise part of their daily routine.

The participants also pledged to promote fitness and environmental protection through healthier and more sustainable lifestyles.

HUWJ state treasurer Lokesh Jain thanked the participants, SAI officials and all those associated with the event.

SAI chief coach Blas Iglesias Fernandes, senior coach Bharti Thakur, Dr Sonam Singh, coach Hariom, Vivek Mohan (HPA physiotherapist), chef Rakesh Kaira and Shilpa Arya (HPA nutritionist) were among those present.
