Curriculum Development Workshop in Public Administration concludes 

Chandigarh, March 19, 2025: Two-Day Curriculum Development Workshop in Public Administration concluded at Panjab University here today. 

The Department of Public Administration, Panjab University, had organised the workshop in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) Punjab and Chandigarh Regional Branch. The workshop was sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) North-Western Regional Centre, Chandigarh.

Guest of Honour, PU Registrar Prof Y.P Verma, reiterated the need to come up with a curriculum meeting the needs of the present time to prepare students for a Viksit Bharat. He applauded the initiative taken by the department in this direction and highlighted the departments role in producing the best minds in the country. 

Delivering the valedictory address, Prof Ramanjit Kaur Johal, Former Chairperson, Department of Public Administration, PU and Hony. Secy IIPA Pb & Chd. Regional Branch, appreciated the enthusiastic participation by the students leading to a truly collaborative effort.

The workshop concluded with a convergence and valedictory session chaired by Prof Sanjeev K Mahajan, where teams presented and deliberated overthe curriculums developed in the breakout sessions over the course of two-days. 

The second day saw critical discussions on evolution and analysis of Public Administration research with pre    sentations from Prof. B.S. Ghuman, Dr. Rajesh Kundu, MDU Rohtak, Dr.Mohit Sharma, Central University of Jammu and Prof.Rajbans Singh Gill, Punjabi University, Patiala, discussing theevolving paradigms in Public Administration with respect to job security.
