Ludhiana: An expert session on Technology and Entrepreneurship: Transforming Academia to Industry was organized in association with LinkedInLocal, Ludhiana and MentorX at CT University, Ludhiana. The Chief Guest for the event was Sukhwinder Singh Bindra, Chairperson, Punjab Youth Development Board, Govt. of Punjab and the Guest of Honor, Nitin Tandon, Punjab Youth Development Board, Govt. of Punjab.

Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor CTU said, “Global technology trends are expanding from social networking and electronic devices to focus on a fusion of more complex technologies, significantly reshaping the way education sector operate today.  EdTech startups have garnered a lot of attention during this pandemic. The Industry-Academia linkages are considered to be the backbone of technological innovations.  Academia and industry advance together, but their relationship is a complicated one. Side-by-side they can complement each other. At the same time, academia and industry are very different institutional environments, which build tension.”

Chief Guest for the day, Sukhwinder Bindra said that with the help of Government, we are ensuring to promote youth and bring out the best of their potential in varied fields.

Later, a few personalities namely, Er. Sukhwinder Singh Bindra; Nitin Tandon; Ati Priye, Head, Host and Organiser at LinkedinLocal, Ludhiana and Deputy Director; Entrepreneurship Development Cell at CT University; Dr Munish Jindal, Founding President, MentorX and Dr Nancy Juneja, Co-Founder, MentorX were honored with Youth Icon of Punjab Award during the event.
