Ludhiana, March 21, 2022: CT University’s Team of Research Scientists from School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Robotic Lab namely Sourabh Kosey(Research Scholar),Dr Saurabh Sharma and Dr Harmeet Singh have invented a unique idea of Diabetes Neuropathy Detector which is highly helpful to detect complications of diabetes mellitus.

It has invented and granted patent a new Diabetes Neuropathy Detector to diagnose the diabetic neuropathy using a monofilament attached to the device where pedal pressure readings are noted virtually at the monitor attached to this device which reflects the late-stage complication of diabetes mellitus that ensures the level of pressure and diagnosis. This includes the novelty of the monofilament attached. This outcome of a research study done at CT University by School of Pharmaceutical Sciences will provide a significant improvement in diagnosis of neuropathy as diabetes is among top 5 diseases globally. In India diagnosis of Diabetic neuropathy remains a silent problem hence goes under notice causes gangrene, diabetic foot, charcoal foot, foot amputation etc.

Charanjit Singh Channi, Chancellor, CT University said that he is proud of CT University's science and innovation staff who are always engaged in new researches for social security and they make time to time new discoveries that are useful in public safety.
Charanjit Singh Channi, Chancellor and Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor was also present at the unveiling of this Diabetes Neuropathy Detector.
