CT University organises Simulation Workshop to Upgrade the Real-World Legal Experience of Law Students

The School of Law and IQAC of CT University, Ludhiana organized a simulation workshop for a week. Simulation is a pedagogically valuable and practical tool in teaching the modern law curriculum. Simulation, as a form of experiential and problem-based learning, enables students to integrate the ’classroom’ experience with the real-world experiences they will encounter in their professional lives. Experts from Civil Law, Criminal Law, Family Law, Labour Laws, and Drafting Skills developed lawyering skills in students by participating in practice-based exercises.

Ludhiana, May 5, 2023: The School of Law and IQAC of CT University, Ludhiana organized a simulation workshop for a week. Simulation is a pedagogically valuable and practical tool in teaching the modern law curriculum. Simulation, as a form of experiential and problem-based learning, enables students to integrate the ’classroom’ experience with the real-world experiences they will encounter in their professional lives. Experts from Civil Law, Criminal Law, Family Law, Labour Laws, and Drafting Skills developed lawyering skills in students by participating in practice-based exercises.

Adv. Karan Singh ( Vice President) District Bar Association, Adv. Chamanlal Vashisht, an expert in Labour Laws, Adv. Deepinder Singh Gill, an expert in Criminal Law, Adv. Sumit Khurana led the sessions and provided students with practical learning experiences. They shared their vast experience of working in the Criminal field, Labour Law, Civil Field, and Family Law.

They also presented various specimens to the students regarding the filing of F.I.R., framing of chargesheets, Submission of challan, Filing of plaints, written statements, and interim applications. Through his interactive session, students learned about the intricacies of the criminal justice system and the various issues that arise in the workplace. They provided a comprehensive overview of legal principles and procedures. Such workshops can be extremely beneficial for law students as they provide them with hands-on experience and practical knowledge of the legal field.

Dr. Simran, Principal of Law, expressed her delight in organizing such a valuable workshop for the law students. She emphasized the importance of practical learning experiences and how they enable students to hone their skills and prepare them for the real-world legal profession. She further added that such initiatives provide a platform for students to learn from experts in the field and gain valuable insights that they can apply in their future careers.
 
Dr. Satish, Vice Chancellor (Off.), also praised the efforts of the School of Law and IQAC in organizing this simulation workshop. He emphasized the university's commitment to providing its students with practical and experiential learning opportunities that enhance their academic experience and prepare them for their future careers. He also highlighted the importance of such workshops in developing the necessary skills and knowledge for a successful legal career.
