CT University organises  Cancer Awareness and Free Medical Camp

Ludhiana, January 20, 2023: CT University, Ludhiana in collaboration with World Cancer Care Charitable Society, DMC Hospital Ludhiana and American Oncology Institute organised Free Cancer Awareness and Free Medical Camp. The camp was aimed at creating awareness among the people about the initial symptoms which can later evolve into cancer. The camp was inaugurated by Charanjit Singh Channi, Chancellor CT University ; Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh; Director-Planning and Development Ati Priye ;  Registrar, Sarabpreet Singh ;  Deputy Director Department of Student welfare Davinder Singh ; Dharminder Dhillon MD World Cancer Care.

Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal Chairman, World Cancer Care said that the disease was curable if detected at an early stage. Also, emphasis was being laid onto getting them screened for 7 types of cancer including Breast cancer, Kidney cancer, Lymphoma, Brain cancer, Prostate cancer, Bone cancer and Lung cancer for free through digital Mammograms for Breast Cancer, Pap smear for Cervix Cancer, Oral Cancer PSA for Prostate cancer & Bone Test .“

A team of oncologists including Dr. Bipin, Dr. Manideep, Dr. Gulshan and Dr. Jasleen Kaur , Dr. Ritu Aggarwal was also present to screen various patients for male and female cancers. Patients were given free medicines for blood pressure, blood sugar and other common problems.  Besides Jagraon, people from Ludhiana, Raikot and Moga cities also came to take benefit of this camp. More than 500 people were assessed, advised and counselled.

Dharminder Dhillon thanked the staff members and student volunteers of School of Healthcare & Paramedical Sciences for rendering moral and generous service towards the society.
 
Charanjit Singh Channi Chancellor, CT University, Ludhiana encouraged the students to be health conscious to give the best of their energy in the right direction so that they can become better citizens and help the country in growing further and promised to undertake such initiatives in the future and contribute to the well-being of the community.
 
On this occasion CT University’s Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh; Director-Planning and Development Ati Priye ;  Registrar, Sarabpreet Singh ;  Deputy Director Department of Student welfare Davinder Singh ; all the Deans , HOS all the faculty and students were present.
