CT University Ludhiana Powers Up NCC Training: 50m Firing Range & 100m Obstacle Course Inaugurated by NCC Group Commander Ldh Gp, Brig PS Cheema,SM, VSM
In a landmark day for cadet training, CT University, Ludhiana unveiled two major facilities in one power-packed ceremony. Brig PS Cheema, SM, VSM, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters, Ludhiana, inaugurated the new 50m Firing Range and a full 100m Obstacle Training Course with 10 standard NCC obstacles on campus today.
Ludhiana, June 30, 2026: In a landmark day for cadet training, CT University, Ludhiana unveiled two major facilities in one power-packed ceremony. Brig PS Cheema, SM, VSM, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters, Ludhiana, inaugurated the new 50m Firing Range and a full 100m Obstacle Training Course with 10 standard NCC obstacles on campus today.
Brig Cheema was received on arrival with full enthusiasm by Charanjit Singh, Chancellor, Harpreet Singh, Vice Chancellor, Col Ajay Kohli, Commanding Officer, 3 Punjab Battalion NCC, Col JP Sharma, Administrative Officer, Subedar Major Karnail Singh, and Taranjit Singh.
After inauguration, the Group Commander inspected both facilities, interacted with cadets, and reviewed the overall NCC training setup. He commended CT University and 3 PB BN NCC for raising the bar for cadet development.
“This is how you build confidence and character,” Brig Cheema said. “From the precision of the firing range to the grit tested on every obstacle — cadets will now train harder, aim sharper, and lead stronger. CT University and 3 PB BN NCC deserve full credit for this forward-looking vision.”
The 50m range will sharpen marksmanship, weapon handling, and focus. The 100m OT course, with all 10 standard obstacles, will test endurance, agility, teamwork, and the true NCC spirit of Unity & Discipline. Together, these facilities put CT University cadets on the fast track for RDC, TSC, and SSB-level training.
The inauguration marks a bold step forward in Punjab’s NCC training ecosystem.
