Ludhiana: CT University and Sankara Academy of Vision the educational wing of Sankara Eye Hospitals, India have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to offer Bachelor & Master degree programs in Optometry to students.

The programme is unique in its combining the academic and learning outcome focus of CT University and the vast clinical expertise of Sankara Eye Hospitals. The curriculum has been drafted keeping in mind the demand of optometrists across the eye care segment.

Students would benefit from the infrastructure and diagnostic equipment at the Hospital and also interact with faculty from across the 12-hospital pan India network.

Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor, CT University said, “Qualified optometrists with a relevant skill set are critical as the eye care segment is growing rapidly. CT University is  proud to collaborate with the hospital to design and implement  Bachelor & Master degree programs in Optometry, blending core knowledge & specialized skills set  to create competent Optometrists capable of working in an eye hospital to an optical chain and also clinical to research roles.”
