CT students participate in 2-day Parinaya exhibition for noble cause
Jalandhar, January 7, 2019: Students of CT Institute of Hotel Management and Fashion Design participated in a two day exhibition Parinaya in one of the hotels of the city. One stall was put by the Department of Fashion Design in which all the products like women accessories, home décor, key rings, bangle stands, dresses etc were made by the students under the guidance of faculty, on the theme ‘Best out of Waste’. The other stall was displayed by Department of Hotel Management in which all the bakery products like Plum Cake, flavored Chocolate, Cheese Straws and Cup cakes etc were made by the students of Hotel Management under the mentorship of faculty. Besides giving practical exposure to the students, the other objective of participating was for a noble cause as the amount collected from the stalls was donated in charity to Apahaj Ashram. Tarun and Guresh, students of Fashion Design said, “It was a wonderful experience of participating in this exhibition where the designers from various cities also participated. We have experienced so many things like products making as per customer taste and then customer dealing on the spot.” Dr. Bharat Kapoor, Director, CTIHM said, “We often try to make our students participate in outdoor activities where they can have exposure related to their fields. The students of both departments have done a wonderful job right from the beginning till packing of the show on the second day.” Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions appreciated the efforts of the students and also thanked organizers of exhibition for giving this opportunity to the students.
