CT Group of Institutions, North Campus, Maqsudan Hosts Grand Robotics Championship 2026
Jalandhar: CT Group of Institutions, North Campus, Maqsudan, in association with the Centre of Excellence for Research & Innovation, successfully organized the much-awaited Robotics Championship 2026, a mega technical event celebrating innovation, creativity, and engineering excellence. The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 50 teams comprising budding engineers and robotics enthusiasts from various institutions. The event featured two thrilling competitions — Robo Off-Roading (Rough & Tough Driving) and Robo Tug of War (Robo Strength Game) — where participants showcased their technical expertise, innovation, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills.
The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Pardeep Verma, Principal Director Incharge, Central Institute of Hand Tools, under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. In his address, he appreciated the institution’s efforts in promoting innovation, skill development, and practical learning among students. He highlighted the growing significance of robotics, automation, and advanced manufacturing technologies in strengthening India’s industrial ecosystem and MSME sector. He further encouraged students to actively participate in such competitive platforms to enhance their technical competencies and entrepreneurial mindset.
The Overall Trophy Winner of Robotics Championship 2026 was proudly awarded to GNA University for their outstanding performance, technical excellence, and consistent achievements across competitions.
Attractive cash prizes were awarded to the winners, and participation certificates were distributed to all teams.
Chairman, Charanjit Singh Channi, congratulated the organizers and participating teams for making Robotics Championship 2026 a grand success. He emphasized that such technical competitions play a vital role in nurturing innovation, creativity, and practical learning among students, preparing them to meet future technological challenges.
Campus Director, Dr. Anurag Sharma, shared that the Robotics Championship was organized with the vision of providing students hands-on exposure and competitive experience in the field of robotics and automation. He expressed pride over the overwhelming response and the high level of technical excellence demonstrated by the participants.
