Jalandhar, July 23, 2026: CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur and Maqsudan Campuses, witnessed an electrifying start to the new academic session as thousands of existing CTians returned to campus with excitement and enthusiasm. The first day was transformed into a grand celebration with the special "Welcome Back CTians" programme featuring the star cast of the upcoming Punjabi film "Kankaan De Ohle", including Ms. Tania, child artist Kishtu K, and other cast members. The celebration also featured renowned Punjabi singer Bura Purewal, an enthralling live band performance by Gautam Arora, vibrant cultural performances, and a host of entertainment activities, making the reopening of the campuses a memorable experience alongside the commencement of regular academic activities.

The day began with the registration process, where students completed their departmental formalities before attending their scheduled academic sessions. Following the classes and lunch break, students gathered for the grand entertainment programme organized by the institution to celebrate their return to campus.

The event commenced with an informative orientation session, introduced by Dr. Arjan Singh, Dean Student Welfare, who acquainted students with the various facilities, student clubs, cells, services, and support systems available across both campuses, encouraging them to actively participate in campus life.

The celebrations reached new heights as the star cast of "Kankaan De Ohle" interacted with the students, sharing their experiences and inspiring them to pursue their dreams with confidence and determination. Their lively interaction received an overwhelming response from the audience.

Adding to the excitement, renowned Punjabi singer Bura Purewal enthralled the students with his energetic performance, filling the venue with music and enthusiasm. This was followed by a spectacular live band performance by Gautam Arora, who entertained the audience with popular chartbusters and high-energy performances. Students enthusiastically sang, danced, and celebrated together, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.

The event also showcased colourful cultural performances by talented CTians, reflecting the rich cultural diversity and vibrant campus life of CT Group. The blend of music, dance, celebrity interaction, and student performances made the welcome celebration a perfect beginning to the academic session.

On the occasion, Dr. Jayaashish Sethi, Campus Director, CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus, and Dr. Anurag Sharma, Campus Director, CT Group of Institutions, Maqsudan Campus, warmly welcomed the students and encouraged them to make the most of the opportunities available on campus.
