CSKHPAU to contribute Rs 21 lakh to HP covid-19 solidarity response fund

Dharamshala: Choudhary Sarvan Kumar HP Agriculture University, CSKHPAU to contribute Rs.21 lakh to ‘HP COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund’: Vice-Chancellor Prof A.K. Sarial: CSK H.P. Agriculture University has decided to contribute to ‘HP COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund’. 
Prof Ashok Kumar Sarial, Vice-Chancellor, said that the University will contribute Rs.21 lakh in ‘HP COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund’ specially created by the Govt. of H.P. to fight coronavirus pandemic.
He said that there has been an overwhelming response to his proposal for this good cause by the University community. 
The Vice-Chancellor informed that the cheque will be presented to Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur at Shimla at the earliest when vehicular movement restrictions are lifted.

Prof Sarial appreciated the staff unions viz. H.P. Agricultural University Teachers’ Association, Veterinary & Animal Science Teachers’ Association and Non-teaching Employees Union for heeding to his appeal for one day’s salary contribution for the cause. 
The Vice-Chancellor said that a large number of retirees have also come forward for the contributions. He thanked all staff members for their contributions.
