CSKHPAU TAKES SEVERAL DECISIONS 

Dharamshala: According to Prof Ashok Kumar Sarial, Vice-Chancellor, a special meeting of the academic council was held recently to take stock of the situation arisen due to lockdown and economic hardships to the students and their parents.
He said  that it has been decided that the enhancement of fee for filling up online application for entrance test based admission for B.V.Sc & A.H., B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture M.Sc. Ag. & M.V.Sc. degree programmes and fee for submitting offline application for merit-based admissions for B.Sc. Physical Sciences, B.Sc. Life Sciences, B.Tech.(Food Technology), B.Sc. (Hons.) Community Science and Doctoral programmes for Academic Year 2020-21 shall be withdrawn and remain the same as per the previous year as mentioned in Information brochure and prospectus for entrance based and merit-based admissions for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of the University for Academic Year 2019-20.
The Vice-Chancellor said that it has been decided that the balance fee will be reimbursed to those candidates who have already applied and deposited the enhanced fee for online or offline applications for both the programmes. For observing social distancing norms to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as per the instructions issued by the government, the centers of entrance test at different locations will be enhanced.
Prof Sarial said that the academic council has also decided to enhance intake capacity in M.Sc. Agriculture degree programmes with ten additional seats.
The members of the academic council thanked the State Government for permitting the University to recruit around 100 faculty members. Prof Ashok Kumar Sarial, Vice-Chancellor told that already 31 teachers have been recruited and 23 are likely to be appointed soon as the interview process was completed before lockdown.
