CPDL facilitates doorstep electricity connections through on-site new connection camp
First camp conducted in Sector 25; initiative to be expanded citywide
Chandigarh, December 18, 2025: Chandigarh Power Distribution Limited (CPDL) successfully organised a New Electricity Connection Camp at Sector 25 West, Rehabilitation Colony, Chandigarh, aimed at enabling residents and commercial establishments to obtain electricity connections through a simplified, doorstep-driven process. A total of 88 new connection applications were registered at the camp, reflecting a strong consumer response to the initiative.
CPDL officials offered end-to-end, on-ground support to applicants including verification of documents and step-by-step guidance on application procedures. The initiative was designed to enhance consumer convenience by reducing procedural complexities and ensuring faster, more efficient service delivery.

The New Connection Camp is a focused effort to make electricity connections easier, faster and more transparent for consumers. By enabling direct access to our teams and systems, we are ensuring quicker resolution of requirements and a more seamless service experience. Through this initiative, CPDL is reinforcing a balanced approach to power distribution by encouraging consumers to shift to authorised electricity connections, while continuing to take firm action against illegal connections to ensure safety, compliance and network reliability.
