Chandigarh, August 7, 2026: With an aim to further strengthen public safety, Chandigarh Power Distribution Limited (CPDL) has enabled consumers to report electrical safety-related concerns through its dedicated WhatsApp helpline.

Consumers just need to message ‘Help’ on the WhatsApp Number and further share the photo and location to report a safety concern.

Consumers can use the helpline to report damaged electrical infrastructure, loose or snapped wires, damaged poles or distribution boxes, transformer issues and any other electrical hazards across the city, enabling prompt action by CPDL teams to ensure public safety.

Brajesh Kumar, CEO, CPDL, said “We appeal to residents to immediately report any snapped, loose or damaged electricity wires lying on roads or in public places or any other electrical safety related concern, through the WhatsApp number so that immediate action can be taken. Public safety is our priority, and timely information from residents can help us respond quickly”.

CPDL has also advised residents to maintain a safe distance from electrical poles, transformers and exposed or damaged electrical wires, particularly during and after rainfall.

Parents have been urged to ensure that children stay away from waterlogged areas and electrical installations, especially during the monsoon season.

CPDL officials appealed to consumers to follow the safety advisory and report electrical hazards immediately to help prevent accidents and ensure the safety of residents.
