Congress Workers Paid Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi 

On the 78th death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, the Congress Party paid floral tributes at Sarabha Nagar here. The tribute ceremony was led by Pawan Dewan, former President of the Ludhiana Urban Congress and former Chairman of the Punjab Large Industrial Development Board, along with party workers who remembered the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.

Ludhiana, January 30, 2026: On the 78th death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, the Congress Party paid floral tributes at Sarabha Nagar here. The tribute ceremony was led by Pawan Dewan, former President of the Ludhiana Urban Congress and former Chairman of the Punjab Large Industrial Development Board, along with party workers who remembered the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.

Addressing the gathering, Pawan Dewan said that Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals of non-violence, mutual brotherhood, justice, and peace remain a source of inspiration for the nation even today and will continue to guide future generations. He added that following Gandhi ji’s ideology and principles is the true way to pay homage to him, and that only by walking on this path can the country and society be given a better direction.

He expressed concern that the BJP-led central government has dealt a major blow to Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals by discontinuing the MGNREGA scheme, which provided employment to crores of people across the country. He demanded that the central government restart the scheme.

Among others Inderjit Kapoor, Rohit Pahwa, Jaswinder Osahan, Deepak Hans, Harbhagat Singh Grewal, Prabhjot Singh, Nirbhay Singh Ranguwal, Deepak Sharma, Rajnish Singla, Pulkit Chaudhary, Dinesh Sharma, Ajay Gupta, Varun Sharma, Nivesh Vasan were also present on the occasion.
