Comprehensive development of Banga underway: PSCM

Banga, December 31, 2021: Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr Hussan Lal today reiterated firm commitment of the state government to ensure comprehensive development of the Banga.
 
Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, who was here to preside over a football tournament organised by Dr BR Ambedkar Sports Club Bharomajra, said that development works worth Rs 132 crore are already underway in the area. He said that development of every nook and corner of the Banga area is being ensured through a well-planned and firmly executed strategy. Mr Hussan Lal said that a foolproof plan has been chalked out after consultation with people for giving a major push to development works.
 
The Principal Secretary also said that in order to boost sports in the state, Punjab government has taken slew of initiatives for welfare of players. He said that besides provision of cash prize the new sports policy of the state government also stipulates arrangement for ensuring jobs to the bright players. Mr Hussan Lal said that the aim is to give big boost to sports in the state.
 
Congratulating the winning, runners up and participating teams, the Principal Secretary to Chief Minister also announced a grant of RS 2 lakh to the club. He also announced a grant worth Rs 5 lakh for disposal of waste water in village, RS 4 lakh for construction of Dr BR Ambedkar library and books and a grant of RS 4 lakh for the building of Government school.
