CME on One Health organized at Dayanand Medical College & Hospital
Under the aegis of IAPSM& ICMR Joint Initiative, Department of Community Medicine, Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana organized a CME today on ‘One Health’ involving undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
Ludhiana, November 27, 2025: Under the aegis of IAPSM& ICMR Joint Initiative, Department of Community Medicine, Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana organized a CME today on ‘One Health’ involving undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
Bipin Gupta Secretary DMC&H Congratulated the department for organizing the event.
On this occasion, Dr Anurag Chaudhary, Professor & Head of the department unfolded the Theme: “One World, One Health- United for Human, Animal and Environmental Well-being” and emphasized that one health is a concept describing deep connection between human beings, animals, plants and environment around us. To ensure good health of human beings it is very important that the environment and all the living things around also remain healthy. It is an collaborative approach between Government, Health Professionals, environmental experts and Communities, which aim at optimizing human, animal and environmental health.
Dr GS Wander, Principal DMCH conveyed the message to students and community to commit themselves towards this goal.
Dr Sandeep Kaushal stressed on prevention of antimicrobial resistance.
Dr Mahesh Satija Nodal Officer of the event addressedon prevention of Zoonotic diseases. Dr Daljit Kaur, Dr Arshdeep Singh, Dr Suhas Bakaya, Dr Diksha and Dr Divya discussed various aspects of One Health.
