Ludhiana, August 26, 2025: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has extended a significant relief measure by providing government jobs to the family members of those who lost their lives in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. This move, aimed at offering justice and support to the affected families, has been widely welcomed.

District BJP President Rajnish Dhiman expressed gratitude to CM Saini for this historic step and celebrated the announcement by distributing sweets outside the party office. He said, “This decision is a healing touch for the families who suffered immense pain during the riots. Only the BJP understands people’s grief and works sincerely to resolve it.”

Dhiman recalled that after the assassination of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1984, anti-Sikh riots broke out across the country, claiming many innocent lives. In Haryana alone, 121 people were killed. The state government has now ensured that one member from each of the 121 affected families is provided with a government job, based on their consent and eligibility.

BJP leaders and workers including District General Secretary Narendra Singh Malli, Yashpal Janotra, former councillor Gurdeep Singh Neetu, Manmeet Singh Chawla, District Secretary Satnam Singh Sethi, Reena Jain, Varun Sood, Harvinder Singh Jawaddi, and Social Media Secretary Rajan Pandey were present on the occasion.
