Chandigarh, March 16, 2026: A Cleanliness Drive was organised under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Mother Teresa Hall (Girls Hostel No. 6), Panjab University, Chandigarh, with the aim of promoting cleanliness, environmental awareness, and community responsibility among hostel residents.
The initiative was organized by Dr. Supreet Kaur, Warden of Girls Hostel No. 6, and Dr. Anuj Kumar, Coordinator of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Panjab University. Numerous students and staff members from Girls Hostel No. 6, representing various departments, actively participated in this meaningful initiative, demonstrating great enthusiasm and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
The drive focused on cleaning the hostel premises and surrounding areas, which are frequently used by residents. Volunteers worked hard to collect waste, sort it into biodegradable and non-biodegradable categories, and ensure its proper disposal.
Overall, the cleanliness drive was highly successful, creating a positive impact on all participants and highlighting the importance of individual responsibility in protecting our environment.
