Civil hospital gets advanced Transcutaneous Bilirubin meter to enhance newborn care
Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain on Thursday handed over a state-of-the-art Transcutaneous Bilirubin (TcB) Meter to the Civil Hospital, marking a significant advancement in neonatal care.

Ludhiana, Sep 4, 2025: Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain on Thursday handed over a state-of-the-art Transcutaneous Bilirubin (TcB) Meter to the Civil Hospital, marking a significant advancement in neonatal care.
Jain added that the TcB Meter offers a comfortable and efficient method for monitoring newborns, reducing discomfort and enabling faster diagnosis of jaundice screening. By minimizing invasive procedures, the device will improve outcomes for infants and their families.
Expressing gratitude to IDBI for their generous sponsorship, Deputy Commissioner Jain emphasized the importance of such innovative medical equipment in enhancing healthcare delivery. "This device is a game-changer for neonatal care at Civil Hospital. It ensures our newborns receive accurate and pain-free screenings, allowing for timely interventions," Jain stated.
Civil Surgeon Dr Ramandeep Kaur also stated that the introduction of the TcB Meter will improve child care. The hospital administration and staff extended their appreciation to IDBI for supporting this initiative, which will benefit newborns.
