City architects must contribute in safe city: CP

Ludhiana, September 18, 2021: Commissioner of Police Naunihal Singh,  who was Chief Guest in seminar of architects from Indian Institute of Architects Ludhiana Centre ( IIALC) asked architects to contribute more for safe and smart city.

He shared his view points about Ludhiana city with respect to many other cities and explained his association with Ludhiana since his birth here. He explained how architects can play important role not only for safe buildings but for safe and smart city also. 

CP explained how different departments can work together for best traffic management in upcoming smart city and roads can be made more user friendly like in Chandigarh. He welcomed many good ideas given by architects and invited them for future interactions.

Session was moderated by Architect Sanjay Goel- Director Ludhiana Smart City Limited and Chairman of Indian Institute of Architects Punjab Chapter. He explained how we all can learn from our neighboring- beautiful city of Chandigarh which was designed by Late Le Corbusier.

Seminar on Role of Architects in Smart city was also attended by Deepak Pareek- IPS Jt CP City and Traffic, Rajeev Sharad- Consultant Traffic management Punjab police.

Meeting was attended by all executive members of IIALC including Harinder Boparai- Chairman, Balbir Bagga - Vice Chairman, Bimaldeep Singh- Secretary, Rajan Tangri- Treasurer, Yogesh Singla- Immediate Past Chairman, Rajinder sandhu- Chairman IIA Patiala Centre.

Meeting was organised by Aluk dealing in premium european aluminium windows, doors and facade systems through Novelty woods and interiors. Detail presentation was given by expert that how we can create safe buildings with latest doors and windows.

Architects who shared their viewpoints about upcoming safe and smart Ludhiana include Yogesh Singla , Bimaldeep Singh, Harsharan Singh, Vikas Sharma, Akanksha Sharma, Harveesh Kaur, Jaideep Arora and Vivek Sehgal.

Seminar was attended by more than hundred architects including experts from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering college- School of Architecture.
