Mohali, March 3, 2015: Conestoga College, Ontario, Canada has signed MoU with CIIS - Continental Institute for International Studies for its EET- Electronics Engineering Technology-telecommunication systems program enabling students to take admission in first year at CIIS India and for second and subsequent years migrate to Canada.
Conestoga College is partnering with CIIS for offshore delivery of its EET Program. Alan Vaughan VP-International Conestoga College & Lt.Col.B S Sandhu President CIIS inked the MoU. Lt.Col B S Sandhu said that Conestoga College is on SPP list of Colleges for Canada.
The Electronics Engineering Technology-telecommunication systems is a 3-year advanced diploma. Year 1 at CIIS and after getting student visa from Canadian High Commission, student can complete rest of the program in Canada for second year and third year.
Grade 12 Non Medical or Grade 12 with mathematics & IELTS overall 6.0 bands with no band less than 5.5 in each module are eligible to take admission in it.
Lt Col Sandhu added that the program integrates knowledge from three related fields of Electronics, Computers and Telecommunications to churn out individuals who can design, build, test and repair a communication system or any one part of it. The program is recognized by OACETT (Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists) and certified by CET (Certified Engineering Technologists). Also it is a Co-op program where the student will invest one semester working in the industry and gain all important work experience, essential for their future success.
There are immense job opportunities on completion of program with many graduates of this program already been hired by Blackberry and are working in the fields of Satellite Communications, Video Cameras and radars and video projectors to name a few.
The pass-out students get starting salary from 60,000 CAD $ per annum and can go up based on the experience and education standing of the candidate.
